OVERVIEW
This 4 Days primates Rwanda is an amazing trip that will that will expose you to the endangered primates of Rwanda. The safari will take you Nyungwe Forest National Park which is a haven of chimpanzees, you will proceed to Volcanoes national park which is a home to mountain gorillas. You will have a chance to visit Kigali City which is the cleanest City in Africa with a lot of historical attachment with historical sites in the City for example the Genocide Memorial, King’s palace, different markets among others. The trip starts in Kigali and ends in Kigali.
Day 1: City tour and transfer to Nyungwe
Arise in the morning for a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide who will take you through the itinerary and then head to Kigali City for a tour where you will visit the King’s palace, visit the Genocide memorial center spend some time learning more about the then war causes and effects, proceed to artisans and local markets to interact with locals, enjoy scrumptious lunch and then proceed with the journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park where you will arrive in the evening hours, connect to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
Arise in the early morning, greet your intestines with a cup of tea/coffee and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking etiquettes, be allocated chimpanzee family to track and then head to the off-beaten tracks of the thick forests with a ranger guide who will help you to locate the chimpanzees. You will spend an hour with them as you take pictures and videos as you enjoy the lyrical melodies from the native birdlife of Nyungwe. Return to the lodge afterwards for lunch, relaxation and then go for canopy walk. Canopy walk is an extra ordinary experience and it is only in Nyungwe National Park in the whole of East Africa. This activity will expose you to different magical sceneries of Nyungwe and its neighborhood, enjoy rubbing shoulders with monkeys in the canopies, birds will be flying over you and then in the evening, retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Iby’wacu cultural tour
This is another eventful day where you will wake un the morning, have a delicious breakfast, check-out of the lodge and then head to volcanoes national park one of Rwanda’s treasure and a bigger contributor to her economy. You will enjoy the beautiful sceneries of a thousand hills. You will enjoy an en-route lunch, proceed to Volcanoes national park arriving in the afternoon hours, check-in to the lodge and then go to visit the Iby’wacu cultural village. Here you will be entertained by the presentation of the Rwanda culture through dances, songs, ancient storytelling, naming among others. you will retire to the retire to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and departure
After a delicious breakfast in the morning, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking behaviors, be assigned a gorilla family to track and the head to the jungle to meet the gentle primates in their natural habitat where you are always advised to spend an hour with the gorillas taking pictures and videos, enjoy the scenic view as well, you will later return to the lodge for lunch and then head back to Kigali and this will mark the end of your trip. This trip can be tailor made in case you have time and you want to extend to see other animals.
