4 Days Kidepo National Park Safari is filled with excitement and adventure much as it is one of the magnificent virgin places yet to be fully exploited with the best version of wilderness to offer. During this 4 day trip you will have a front seat to all the beauty as the park offers the opportunity to view lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, endemic black-backed jackal, aardwolf, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, kobs; birds like ostriches, black coucal, karamoja apalis, silver bird, yellow-billed shrike, superb starlings, and a beautiful landscape with other features like the hot springs and lakes. The park will surely give you the definition of wilderness at its best while you venture into its depth. The trip will start in Kampala via Gulu to Kidepo and back to Kampala.
Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
Day 1 of four, you will meet our driver guide from Glory Summit tours at an agreed spot who will brief on the next few days and how the trip will run. After that, you will set off for Kidepo which is 8-9hours. For ease and comfort, you will have a few stops for stretching, picture taking and lunch in Gulu. You will get to Kidepo in the evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and rest after the long journey so you can be fresh for the next day and enjoy what Kidepo has to offer.
Day 2: Game drive and community tour
Day 2, you will wake up and have an early breakfast, then will be picked by the driver guide for your morning dame drive. The driver will give you a chance to encounter lions, zebras, buffaloes, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and kobs for about 2-3hours. You will return to the lodge after the drive for lunch, after lunch you will head out for a community tour of the IK people and engage with them. Learn about their culture, lifestyle, history, building Manyatta homesteads with entertainment through dance, music and drama which will take about 3hours and you will head back to the lodge. You will have dinner and retire for the night.
Day 3: Guided nature walk and evening game drive
On the third day, you will have breakfast, then head out and take a nature walk through the kanangorok hot springs, with a beautiful landscape, expect to see some ostriches, giant elands, buffaloes and some kudus for about 2hours. You will return to the lodge for lunch after which you will head out for an afternoon game drive through the Narus valley and you can expect to see some oribis, reedbucks, giraffes, cheetahs and others. After the drive you will return to your lodge, have dinner and enjoy a chill evening and retire at will.
Day 4: Checkout and departure
On the final day, you will have breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge, and exit the park for Kampala which will take about 8-9hours. As you enjoy the beautiful views, you will have a few stopovers for stretching and lunch in Mbale then continue to Kampala at an agreed point which will mark the end of the trip.
