4 days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park safari will take you on an amazing journey through Lake Mburo National Park as the smallest park and Queen Elizabeth National Park as the second largest park with tree climbing lions to explore. With a diverse variety of mammals, bird species with endemics like the rare shoebill, lakes, crater lakes and scenic views between the two national parks, you most certainly will enjoy the trip and what it has to offer through the game drives and boat cruises. You should expect to see animals like lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, monkeys, chimpanzees and several bird species. The trip will start in Kampala via Mbarara to Mburo, then Queen Elizabeth then back to Kampala.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Lake Mburo and afternoon boat cruise

You will be picked by our driver guide at a convenient spot as agreed upon and he will give you a small briefing on how the trip is supposed to move and also handle any questions you might have about the trip. At 7:30am you will set off for Lake Mburo National Park and this will take 3-4hours with a brief stop at the equator for some picture taking and continue to the park. You will arrive in time for lunch, after which you will check in and then get ready for an afternoon boat cruise at Lake Mburo where you will see animals like hippos, buffaloes, antelopes and crocodiles. After the boat cruise, you will return to your lodging for dinner and then rest for the night.

Day 2:  Morning game drive and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

You will have breakfast and checkout of your lodging. On your way out of Lake Mburo National Park, you will have a morning game drive which will take about 3hours and will see animals like zebras, elands, antelopes, impalas, hyenas, buffaloes, topis and birds like fish eagles and the rare shoebill stork. After the game drive, you will exit Lake Mburo on route Queen Elizabeth National Park which will take 3-4hours. You will get to get to your lodging in time for dinner, so you will check in and have dinner and retire for the day in preparation for the next day.

Day 3:  Morning game drive and boat cruise at Kazinga Channel

You will have breakfast and then head out for the morning drive through Queen Elizabeth with a guide and expect to see 4 of the big five: elephants, buffaloes, lions, bush backs, kobs, leopards, hyenas, antelopes, giant forest hogs giraffes, colobus monkeys as well as several bird species, then return to your lodging to relax as you wait for lunch. After lunch you will head to Kazinga Channel and launch, the cruise will tale 3-4hours with a guide to avail answers for any questions you might have during the boat cruise and during the cruise you will see water animals like the hippopotamus, buffaloes, water bucks, crocodiles and bird species. You will head back to the hotel in time for dinner and after dinner you can enjoy the evening by the fire as you relive the experiences of the days and retire at will.

Day 4: Check out and departure

With breakfast done, you will check out of the hotel and exit the park for Kampala. On your way to Kampala you will enjoy the beautiful scenic views of the countryside and also have a chance to take some pictures while at it. A stopover in Mbarara for lunch and another at the Equator for more pictures and exploring the craft world will be done. Then continue to Kampala at an agreed point which will mark the end of your 4day wildlife safari.
