OVERVIEW
4 Days wildebeest migration and gorilla trekking safari is an interesting trip that will expose you to the migration of wildebeests Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, and this is the largest animal movement that happens annually in the dry season in the months of June to October. The safari will take you to 2 countries that is Rwanda where you will be tracking gorillas and then visit Tanzania where you will encounter wildebeest migration which attracts the savanna predators and these lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, vultures among others. Serengeti has other wildlife for example rhinos, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, waterbucks, bushbucks, birds among others. This trip will start from Rwanda and then end in Tanzania.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the Glory Summit Tours and Travel driver guide who will greet you with a great a smile, take you through the itinerary and then transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park which spans on a 160 square kilometers in the northern Rwanda. You will arrive in the evening in Volcanoes National Park check-in the lodge, have your dinner and wait for the next day’s activities.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and fly to Serengeti National Park
Arise in the morning, have a cup of coffee and then be transferred to the park headquarters where you will be told about the dos and don’ts when tracking the primates. You will be allocated the gorilla family to track and then set off with a ranger guide who will help you to locate the gorillas where you spend an hour in their presence taking pictures and videos, studying about their behaviors and later be transferred to the lodge for lunch and then after lunch you will drive to Kigali Airport for a flight to Tanzania where you will get a domestic flight to Kilimanjaro where you will be welcomed by our company representative waiting for you who will transfer you to Arusha in a hotel in late evening.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti and game drive
Wake up as early as 6:00am, get your breakfast packed and head to Serengeti National Park Tanzania’s most visited tourist destination and yet famous for hosting wildebeest migration and this is the largest animal movement in the whole world and this migration takes place when the wildebeests and zebras cross River Grumeti heading to Masai Mara National Reserve and this attracts lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas which are normally known as the savannah predators. You will have your breakfast on the way, arriving in Serengeti in the afternoon, check-in the lodge for a quick lunch and head to River Grumeti where you will be spotting wildebeests and zebras cross the river as crocodiles are tempting to make a kill in the water and lions will be in ambush to attack the migrating herds. You will spot these species till late evening, thereafter retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Game drive and departure
Arise with for a scrumptious breakfast, get your lunch packed, check-out of the lodge and head to the jungle to search the early risers and also to spot some species that you missed in the previous game drive. You will spot Masai giraffes, rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, impalas, waterbucks, bushbucks, gazelles, birds will be chirping in the tree brunches singing for you sweet melodies, you will enjoy picnic lunch at animal view point and thereafter embark on the journey to Kilimanjaro for a flight back home or to other destinations.
