Overview
Enjoy this best of East African gorillas and wildlife safari since you will visit 3 countries that are Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. You will do gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park which offers you an opportunity to spend an hour with endangered gorillas, game drives in endless plains of Mara which offers great viewing points for wild animals including savannah predators these are lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, bat eared foxes, vultures among others. Have a stopover at the Uganda’s Equator where you will take pictures standing in both hemispheres of the Earth, buy some souvenirs, have en-route lunch and then proceed to Entebbe for flight to Nairobi in Kenya. Taking part in the amazing safari will create undying memories in your lifetime as you won’t miss out visiting the locals who are the Batwa/pygmies that are also known as the people of the forest. The trip will start from Rwanda and end Kenya.
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali a to Bwindi via Gatuna/Katuna border
Arrive at the airport in Kigali and meet our driver guide who will brief you about this amazing and memorable safari in the East Africa’s most visited parks. You will later transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda a home to almost half of the remaining mountain gorillas in the whole world. You will arrive in the evening, connect direct top the lodge accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community tour
Begin the day with breakfast on waking up and then drive to the park offices where you will receive briefing about the trekking activity. You will set off to search for gorillas with a guidance of the ranger guide who will lead you to meet the gorilla family that you were assigned to track and spend a memorable hour with them and this will create memorable time capturing photos and the same time recoding videos. After lunch, you will visit the Batwa/Pygmies at the edge of the forest and these will take you through the real lifestyle of the African through traditional music and dances, starting fire using local materials, tasting traditional meals, dress code and many more others. Enjoy great historical stories about how they used to live in the forest before they were evicted due to conservation practices. Return to the lodge for a hot dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Head to Kampala and fly to Nairobi Kenya
Rise up early, have breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on 8 to 9 hours’ drive to Kampala where you will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe. Take memorable photos, enjoy en-route lunch and maybe buy souvenirs. Proceed with a journey to Entebbe International Airport and fly to Kenya where you will meet our driver representative for a great journey to Masai Mara. Be taken to the hotel for this night as you will be preparing for another great day adventure the next morning.
Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve and Game drive
Have breakfast at the balcony of your hotel room in Nairobi and then pack your luggage in the 4×4 WD vehicle to begin the journey to Masai Mara. Have a stopover at the rift valley viewing point where you will take great photos. Arrive and take lunch followed by an evening game drive where you will spot animals like Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Zebra, Wildebeest, Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelle, Eland, Topi, Impalas and many more others. The game drive will last for about 3 hours but full of memories, retire to the lodge, check-in and have dinner.
Day 5: Full day game drive in Masai Mara plains
The day begins early in the morning with a morning game drive as the safari vehicle will comprise the packed breakfast and lunch. On the sunrise, enjoy bush breakfast and then at around 13:00hours enjoy picnic lunch. There is a lot to see while on this game drive such as lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, gazelles, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, zebras as the millions of wildebeest will be migrating from Serengeti and back. This day will create everlasting memories as you will adventure wildlife in style.
Day 6: Transfer to Nairobi and departure
Head back to Nairobi with en-route game drive to see some missed wild animals. Be dropped at the Airport for your flight back home hence the end of 6 Days Bwindi from Kigali & Masai Mara safari.
