7 Days Masai Mara and Amboseli Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Arrival day in Nairobi

Be picked from the airport on your arrival and transfer to a hotel after briefing. Have an option of taking a city tour where you will visit the national museum, local markets, religious sites that are prominent, art and gallery centers to mention but a few. The driver guide will help you to acquire all the necessary documents that you may need while on the safari and also other materials you need like the hat, batteries, rain jacket and more others. Head to the hotel in Nairobi for a night’s stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara

Leave Nairobi in the morning and transfer to Masai Mara one of the most visited protected area in Kenya and Africa at large. There is a lot you will see while on the journey such as the rift valley escarpments which is a great photography point. This destination is known for the annual wildebeest migration that move from Serengeti national park to this areas and back in search for fresh waters and pastures but there is a lot to discover such as the lions, elephants, lions, kudu, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, topis, gazelles, impalas and many more others. Arrive and check in the lodge for your accommodations.

Day 3&4: Mara plains game drives

Spend a great time creating memories with your cameras and eyes through taking part in game drives in the savannah grasslands of Masai Mara national reserve. There is a lot to explore including the wildebeest migration that occurs in the month of July to October. Other wild animals to watch include, lions, cheetah, leopards, cape buffalos, zebras, giraffes, rhinos, elephants, Oryx, gazelles and many more others. There are other options like visiting the Masai village, taking a hot air ballooning safari, nature walk and many more others. The picnic lunch, bush breaks, and many more others like the sunset and sunrise moments won’t be missed.

Day 5: Head to Amboseli National Park

This will be a long day where you will encounter a journey to Amboseli National Park a home to largest herds of elephant. The overall time taken is 8 hours but with different stopovers such as one for en-route lunch and the other one for stretching and getting refreshments. You will check in the lodge later on for your accommodation.

Day 6: Full day game drive in Amboseli

Explore Amboseli National Park through game drive that will take full day. There is a lot to see and enjoy while in this park including the beautiful scenery covered with savannah grassland, Mt Kilimanjaro in the background with its glaciers portraying a magical scenery, animals will be roaming in the park such as herds of elephants, buffalos, giraffes, leopards, zebras, rhinos , lesser kudu, crocodiles, hippopotamus, cheetahs, wild dogs and many more others. There will be a lot to discover which comes on chance such as animals giving birth and mating, fighting among other wild wonders. Picnic lunch will be served at the animal view point, proceed with the game drive till sunset where you will retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer back to Nairobi departure

Breakfast will be served at the lodge and then embark on a drive to Nairobi for a departure. Arrive in the afternoon time and enjoy a scrumptious lunch. Be dropped at the airport or at the hotel depending on your time of flight to mark the end of 7 days Masai Mara and Amboseli wildlife safari.
