7 Days Uganda Wildlife gorillas and chimpanzee safari is a safari that engulfs most attractive activities that are done in the jungle of Uganda. You will pleased by the unleashed savannas of Uganda’s wilderness that harbor a vast of wildlife which will be on your bucket list to be viewed. The same safari will serve you Uganda’s celebrated mountain gorillas and chimpanzees as well which will be found in their virgin thick forests. There are amazing creatures that that get excited when they see people, they always come out of the forests to see you, they dance, communicate and it’s really an amazing experience that no one should ever miss while they plan to have a safari.

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo and Boat cruise

Our driver guide will pick you either from the Hotel or at the Airport, he will take you through the itinerary and thereafter hit the road to Lake Mburo National Park which is the closest national park to Kampala. This park is about 3hours drive from the capital city of Uganda. The park is home to a variety of wildlife such as zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, baboons, monkeys, among other wildlife. The park is located in the heart of Ankole where long horned cattle are kept, you will arrive in the afternoon, check-in the lodge accommodation, have lunch and then in the evening you will be doing a boat cruise.

Day 2: Game drive and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Arise in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and head to the jungle to bless your sight with herds of zebras, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, oribis, birds among other species. You will also see Ankole cows that will be in the park sides, you will later bid a farewell to Lake Mburo National Park and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will drive deep in southwestern Uganda where you arrive in the park in the afternoon hours, check-in the hotel, have lunch and in the evening you will relax at the hotel and enjoy your night.

Day 3: Game drive and boat cruise

Arise in the morning enjoy your mouthwatering breakfast, meet your driver guide and the ranger guide and then transfer to the jungle to explore the beauty of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park boasts for having the endless savanna plains which are packed with animals such as buffaloes, elephants, antelopes such as kobs, bushbucks, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, leopards to mention but a few. You will spend the whole day exploring Queen Elizabeth and it’s hidden treasures such as crater lakes, such as Nyamunuka, Lake Katwe this is also known as the salt lake where salt is extracted in Uganda, you will visit lake Munyanyange famous for hosting flamingos, visit different kopjes and different animal view points, retire to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi National Park

Arise in the morning, greet your intestines with a delicious breakfast, check-out of the lodge and do a game drive in Ishasha sector where there are tree climbing lions. You will exit Queen Elizabeth and head to Bwindi, arriving in the evening, check-in the lodge accommodation, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and Batwa

Arise in the morning, enjoy breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking, it is here where you will be assigned a gorilla family to track, then head to the jungle with a ranger guide to help you locate the gorillas, spend an hour with them as you take pictures and videos, thereafter, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation then in the evening visit Batwa community where you will be entertained by this tribe, support their crafts business, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Kibale

Arise in the morning, have breakfast, check-out of the lodge and head to Kibale Forest National Park which is Uganda’s primate capital. The park is endowed with the most chimpanzee population in the whole world, the park is a home to other animal species such red-tailed monkeys, baboons, white and black colobus, blue monkeys, mangabey, among others. You will arrive in the afternoon hours, check-in the lodge, have lunch, take some nap and in the evening you will have a guided nature walk to Bigodi wetland where you will find shoebill stork, African jacana, papyrus Gonolek, and herons, among other birds. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Chimpanzee trekking and departure

On this day, you will wake up in the morning, grab a delicious breakfast and head to Kanyanchu for briefing about chimpanzee trekking etiquettes, you will be allocated a chimpanzee family to track and you will be led by a ranger guide who will help you to find the family. Always an hour is given to spend with these amazing primates, take pictures and videos, return to the park headquarters to get chimpanzee tracking certificate, proceed to the lodge, refresh up, have lunch and depart for Kampala. You will arrive in Kampala in the evening hours, and the driver guide will either drop you at the Airport or at the Hotel depending your time flight back home and this will mark the end of your safari.
