4 Days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
Overview

This is a 4 days wildlife encounter that will take you to Lake Mburo National Park a home to the largest world antelopes known as the elands and Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the most visited National Park in Uganda and also regarded as the medley of wonders. You will have an unforgettable experience as you cruise on Lake Mburo and Kazinga channel waters as you sail through schools of hippopotamuses and crocodiles while you capture various bird types and several animals wallow and quench their thirst.

Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Lake Mburo N/P – Boat cruise

You will be received by our professional driver guide, take you through a briefing about your travel plan and immediately set off for Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover at the equator line in Kayabwe to have that experience where the earth is divided into two equal parts. Arrival in the park will be in the early afternoon to check-in at a reserved lodge for your lunch. After lunch you will go ahead to explore Lake Mburo on a boat cruise while you spot several animals such as crocodiles, hippopotamuses, buffaloes, antelopes to mention but a few with various water birds. Retire off the cruise back to the lodge to have dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive – transfer to Queen Elizabeth N/P

Wakeup to have your early breakfast and proceed to have the most rewarding activity in this National Park as you spot various animals and bird types while on a drive in the jungle. On this 2 to 3 hours’ jungle drive, you will encounter animals like elands, zebras, giraffes, topis, impalas, buffaloes and many more. Get back to the lodge to have lunch and immediately check-out to embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is a 2 to 3 hours’ daring drive arriving in the late afternoon to check-in at a pre-arranged lodge for your dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Morning game drive – Kazinga channel cruise

You will wake up early to enjoy your breakfast, meet your driver guide and proceed for a game drive in the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth. You will wonder how this protected area was naturally gifted as spot early risers graze as predators try out their trick hunting techniques. Various animals will be spotted such as buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, lions, elephants, waterbucks and many more as you enjoy the beauty of bird types as they roam the park. Return back to the lodge for lunch before you proceed to explore Kazinga channel on a cruise. This 2 to 3 hours afternoon cruise will expose you to several bird life and animals such as hippopotamuses, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks and many more. Retire off the waters back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Return to Kampala and departure

Have your last safari breakfast, check-out and meet your driver guide to transfer you back to Kampala. This is a 6 hours’ drive with a few stopovers for example in Mbarara for Lunch and if time allows you can as well learn about the Ankole culture on your visit to the museum and cultural village at Igongo cultural center. Another stop-over will be at the equator to shop some souvenirs back home proceeding to arrive in Kampala in the afternoon to either be dropped off at a hotel in the city or at the airport to catch your flight back home.
