4 Days luxury Uganda and Rwanda gorillas is a fantastic safari that is targeting travelers who are fully in love to see gorillas and they can’t get enough of them. The safari is aimed at double gorilla trekking in Rwanda and in Uganda. Rwanda has habituated gorillas but Uganda has more habituated gorilla families and they are many in number. The safari will start from Rwanda with Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes and then cross to Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to see Uganda’s habituated gorilla families.
Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our driver guide will pick you on this day, he will give you a briefing about the itinerary, and then transfer you to Volcanoes national park which is a home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. You will arrive in Volcanoes in the afternoon hours, check-in the lodge, have lunch in the evening you will visit Ibyi’wacu which is also known as the gorilla guardian village. This is where you will find Rwandan culture exhibited, there is a lot of entertainment through songs, dances, history among others, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kigali
Arise in the morning, be served your breakfast, get your packed lunch and then head to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking, be assigned the gorilla family to track and then head to the jungle with a ranger guide to help you locate the gorilla family to track. An hour is always given to you to enjoy the presence of gorillas, take pictures and videos as many as you can, you will thereafter return to the headquarters to receive gorilla trekking certificate, proceed to the lodge, refresh up, have lunch and then transfer back to Kigali where you will arrive in the night, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: City tour and transfer to Bwindi
You will wake up on a delicious breakfast in Kigali city, check-out and do a city tour before you cross to Uganda. You will have to visit different artisans, local markets and then Kigali memorial genocide, have lunch and cross to Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. You will arrive in the evening, connect to your accommodation, have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali
This is another amazing day for you to track chimpanzees and this time around, you will learn more about their behaviors. You will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing and then head to the jungle to catch the gorilla family you were allocated to with a help of a ranger guide. You will spend an hour with gorillas as you get much intimacy about thereafter, return to the park headquarters for another gorilla trekking certificate, proceed to the lodge, get some refreshments, check-out and head back to Kigali for your flight back home or to other destinations.
