5 Days Queen Elizabeth & Murchison Falls Safari is an amazing safari that is taking you to Uganda’s most visited national parks and these are the largest national parks in Uganda. Murchison falls National Park is the largest national park which celebrates for having the strongest waterfalls in the world, the park is famous for its wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, waterbucks, bushbucks, among others, the parks is famous for its hosting over 470 birds. This safari will take you Queen Elizabeth National Park which is Uganda’s savannah national park and its famous for hosting tree climbing lions, it’s also famous for having the largest birdlife in East Africa with over 600 birds, this park is for hosting Kazinga channel and this is a water body joins 2 lakes Lake Edward in Congo and Lake George in Uganda, it is loved by animals and birds which are always seen on the shores. Boat cruise on Kazinga channel is one of the best water activities in East.
Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
On your first leg of your safari, our driver guide will pick you from the hotel/Airport, he will greet you, take you through the itinerary and then transfer you to Murchison Falls National Park. You will have an en-route to Ziwa rhino sanctuary where you will have to track rhinos for about 1 hour, enjoy your lunch, embark on your journey to Murchison, arrive in the evening, connect to the lodge accommodation, have dinner and have an overnight.
Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise to the delta
Arise in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide and a ranger guide, hit the jungle to catch the animals when they are still very active before the temperatures soar. you will be welcomed by herds of elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards will be seen as well, expect to meet the tallest animal in the world that is a giraffes, bushbucks, waterbucks, baboons, red-tailed monkeys, birds will all be available for you. Return to the lodge in the midmorning, relax at the lodge, have lunch and in the evening you will go for a launch cruise to the delta where you will cruise through a school of hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, water birds will be seen at the shore. Launch cruise to the Nile Delta is mostly loved by the sundowners, taking pictures on the launch cruise to the delta is an amazing experience especially when the sun is setting.
Day 3: Visit top of the falls and transfer to Queen Elizabeth
Wake up very early in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, check-out and go to visit top of the falls, you will have a chance to spot the strongest waterfalls in the world and then embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will pass via Fort-Portal, have lunch in the tourism city and embark on the journey, you will arrive in the evening, connect to your accommodation, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Game drive and launch cruise on Kazinga Channel
Arise in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and head to the jungle to catch animals when they are very active, you will head to Kasenyi which is a mating ground for antelopes and buffaloes. This area is also loved by predators such as lions, hyenas, leopards where they ambush their prey. You will enjoy this fantastic game drive, return to the lodge in the afternoon, enjoy lunch and in the evening you do a launch cruise on Kazinga channel which will reward you a magical feeling. There is a lot to see while you are on this boat cruise, return to the lodge at the dusk, and enjoy your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Check-out and departure
On your last leg of the trip, wake up on a mouthwatering breakfast, check-out of the lodge and bid a farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and head back to Kampala. You will have en-route in Mbarara where you will have to visit Igongo cultural center where Ankole culture is exhibited, enjoy the history of the Ankole kingdom, have a delicious lunch in Mbarara and hit the road to Kampala. You will also have a stopover at the Equator where you will engage in the Equator experience, take pictures while standing in both hemispheres of the world, you will later proceed to Kampala and this will mark the end of your journey.
