6 Days Uganda Flying Safari
Overview

This 6 days Uganda flying safari strictly takes you to three major tour destinations namely; Murchison falls National Park which is best known for the most powerful waterfall in the whole world, Queen Elizabeth National Park which contains a water channel that harbors large concentration of hippopotamuses, wide range of animals and birds as well as Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is a haven to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population. Expect a breathtaking experience as you encounter a variety of bird types and animal species in their natural habitat more so the gentle giants that share 98% of their DNA with humans.

Day 1: Fly to Murchison Falls National Park

You will be received by our professional tour guide who will brief you through this itinerary while he highlights your safari expectations and direction. You will then head for a domestic flight to either Pakuba or Chobe airstrip taking you to about 1 and a half hours after which you will be driven to your reserved lodge to check-in and have lunch. After lunch proceed to have a delta boat cruise taking you downstream towards Lake Albert which is the best birding spot. You will have the opportunity to view a variety of aquatic animals and bird species with the elusive shoebill stork inclusive. Return to the lodge to have dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Whole day game viewing

Wakeup to a delicious breakfast, and hit the jungle for game viewing where you will encounter the big four out of the African big five. Many other mammals will be spotted for example warthogs, giraffes, antelopes, duikers, waterbucks, hartebeests to mention but a few as well as bird species. Get back to the lodge to have lunch after which you will return to the jungle for an evening game drive as you spot more wildlife that you could have missed out during your morning game drive. After your thrilling wildlife encounter, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Boat cruise and fly to Queen Elizabeth

This beautiful day will be unlocked with a tasty breakfast and proceed for a boat cruise to the bottom of the magical falls. You will sail through schools of hippopotamuses, crocodiles and various bird types that will all entertain you with hissing sounds worth listening to. You will enjoy the beauty of the falls as water forces its way through a narrow gorge forcing it to form a thunderous sound as it hits stones from a high elevation. This is the right time to take pictures as you capture an all-day rainbow at the background formed by the sun and flowing water. You will return to the lodge for lunch before checking out to be driven to the airstrip to catch your domestic flight to Kasese airstrip. You will then be driven to your reserved lodge around Queen Elizabeth to have dinner and an overnight.

Day 4: Launch cruise and fly to Bwindi

Have your breakfast in the early morning and be driven to the peninsular to catch your boat cruise along the Kazinga channel while you sail through concentrations of hippopotamuses, crocodiles and arrays of various bird types. Various mammals will as well be captured along the shores as they try to quench their thirst such as buffaloes, elephants, antelopes and many more. You will retire off the cruise back to your lodge to have lunch and check-out to be driven to the airstrip to catch your domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. This flight takes to about 30minutes arriving to be driven to your pre-arranged lodge for relaxation, dinner and an overnight as you wait to encounter our closest cousins in the next morning.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural tour

Have your breakfast and be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules. A gorilla family will be allocated to you and walking sticks availed to support you during your trek as you move through uneven terrains in search of the gentle giants which may last for 1 to 6 hours according to their movements. An hour will be allowed as you closely watch them go by their usual obligations after which you will descend back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will be led by a Twa guide to their local communities through a thick forest as he narrates how they lived in the forests during the ancient years. Have an insight into their cultural practices like hunting, medicinal herbs, honey collection techniques and many more. Enjoy their cultural performances before you return to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight.

Day 6: Fly back to Entebbe

This day starts with breakfast, meet your driver guide to be transferred to Kihihi airstrip to catch your domestic flight direct to Entebbe international airport. This flight lasts for about 1 and a half hours arriving to catch your international flight back home or be driven to a hotel of your choice around Entebbe for relaxation and have lunch as you wait for your flight time to come.
