Overview

7 days Tanzania wildebeest migration and Bwindi gorillas is a luxurious safari that will take you to the northern animal corridor of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park where millions of wildebeests migrate to Masai Mara in Kenya. This is the largest animal movement in the world, you will partake in seeing these animals take off from Tanzania to look for fresh pastures in Kenya’ Masai Mara, they will be crossing River Grumeti and this migration always attracts savanna predators which are; lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, vultures, foxes among others. The same safari will take you to Uganda where you will be encountering Uganda’s celebrated mountain gorillas, encounter one of the primitive tribes that are in Uganda and these are Batwa people. These are the shortest people and they are also known as Forest keepers.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha and transfer to Serengeti

Upon arrival, our driver guide will be waiting to receive you, greet you, take you through the itinerary then transfer you to Serengeti national park which is the most visited national park in Tanzania. You will drive through the beautiful countryside as you enjoy seeing the settlement of the Masai people. You will arrive in the park in the evening, connect to your lodge accommodation, check-in, have lunch and dinner.

Day 2&3: Wildebeest migration exploration in Serengeti

In these 2 days in Serengeti national park, you will enjoy the endless plains of Serengeti which are decorated with high concentration of animals such as buffaloes, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, famous wildebeests, giraffes, hartebeests, impalas, kobs, rhinos, bat-eared foxes, vultures, so many birds among others. You will view wildebeests migrating to Kenya crossing river Grumeti, you will visit different scenic view points, kopjes among others, and you will enjoy a picnic lunch as well. Every traveler would not like to miss to visit this destination because it will leave you with everlasting memories.

Day 4: Fly to Entebbe Uganda

On this day, you will check-out of the lodge in Serengeti, do a game drive as you bid a farewell to Serengeti national park. You will have an opportunity to see some animal species that you will have missed in the previous exploring 2 days Serengeti national park, you will arrive in Arusha in the afternoon hours, enjoy a hot lunch in Arusha city, board a flight to Entebbe International Airport which is Uganda’s International Airport. You will arrive in the late evening, be welcomed by our driver guide, he will welcome you for a tailored safari in Uganda, greet and head to the hotel, check-in, have dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi

On the 5th day you will be in Uganda, wake up on a scrumptious breakfast, and meet your driver guide who will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the southwestern Uganda. This park boasts for having the most gorilla families in Uganda which are; Nkuringo gorilla sector, Buhoma gorilla sector, Rushaga gorilla sector and Ruhija gorilla sector. Depending on the sector where you will be trekking gorillas, your driver will take you to your desired gorilla sector. You will drive for about 8 hours, but you will have stopovers, first at the Equator where you will take pictures standing in southern and northern hemispheres of the world, after here, proceed to with your journey, lunch en-route will be in Mbarara and after lunch break, you will proceed to Bwindi, arrive in the evening, check-in the lodge, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community walk

Arise in the morning, greet your tummy with a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking ethics, you will go with your packed lunch box since gorilla trekking might take more than 4 hours, after you have met the gorillas, you will spend an hour with gorillas, take as much pictures and videos as you can and this will be your dream come true. After this tremendous encounter with primates, return to the park headquarters to receive gorilla trekking certificate, you will find your driver guide here waiting for you, then transfer to the lodge, freshen up and in the evening you will visit Batwa community, they will happily welcome you, they will entertain you through songs, dances, they will narrate for you ancient stories, in the late evening, you will retire to the lodge for dinner overnight.

Day 7: check-out and departure

On this last leg of your safari, you will first enjoy a heavy breakfast, meet your driver guide, bid a farewell to Bwindi and transfer back to Entebbe International Airport where you will be boarding a flight back home or to other destinations. You will have lunch en-route in Mbarara, you can visit Igongo cultural center which exhibits Ankole culture, you can also buy some souvenirs, after there, embark on your journey to Entebbe and this will mark the end of your safari.
