Overview

This 8 Days Uganda Budget Tour is a budget that will take you to Uganda’s most visited national park at a friendly budget. The safari includes visiting chimpanzees in Kibale forest national park famously known as the primate capital, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park Uganda’s open savannah national park where you will spot tree climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, birds among others. The safari will take you deep to the southwestern Uganda to meet the gentle giant gorillas.

Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

On this day, Glory Summit Tours and Travel driver guide will be waiting to receive you at the Airport, he will receive you, greet you, brief you about the safari and then hit the road to Kibale. This journey will take you about 6 hours, with stopovers for scenic viewing and lunch in Fort-Portal and proceed to the park, you will arrive in the evening, connect to the accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland tour

Arise in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee tracking. Here you are guided on what to do and what not to do while you are going to track chimpanzees, you will be assigned a chimpanzee family to track and you will go with a ranger guide who will help you to locate the chimpanzee family. You will enjoy seeing them in their nests, how they feed their young ones and thereafter you will return to the lodge for lunch after acquiring your chimpanzee tracking certificate, enjoy your lunch, take a nap and later in the evening, you will go to Bigodi wetland to spot the wildlife there including the rare shoebill stork, monkeys, butterflies and so many tree species. You will retire to your lodge in the late evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Check-out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth

On the 3rd day, you will wake up on a delicious breakfast, check-out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the second largest National Park in Uganda and its famous for its endless plains decorated with a huge number wildlife species ranging from small to the big mammals. The park in a close ranger of Kibale Forest National Park, therefore, you will take a short time driving to arrive in Queen Elizabeth. After you have arrived, you will connect to your lodge accommodation, enjoy lunch and do an evening game drive.

Day 4: Game drive and launch cruise

Wake up in the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast and head to the jungle to catch the animals when they are still very active before the temperatures rise. You will be welcomed by prides of lions, buffaloes, elephants, bushbucks, kobs, waterbucks, hyenas, to mention but a few. You will enjoy beautiful scenic view, take pictures and videos as you compile a book of memories, after this morning game drive, you will return to the lodge to relax, enjoy your lunch and in the evening there is an eventful time to explore the beauty of Kazinga Channel which stretches to bring closer Lake Edward and Lake Gorge far from the Congo border. You will be pleased to see animals such as buffaloes that will be at the lake shore quenching their thirst, elephants will be swimming, birds will be sunbathing, enjoy taking pictures of the sunset while on the boat, and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This is another eventful day for you to explore the beauty Queen Elizabeth and its hidden treasures, you will do a game drive in Ishasha sector where you will meet the tree climbing lions, and this is the only park where you can find them in Uganda. You proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park arriving in the evening hours, relax at the lodge, have dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Gorilla trekking

This is the long waited day, where you will wake up in the morning, greet your tummy with scrumptious breakfast, and be transferred to the park headquarters about gorilla trekking etiquettes, be allocated a gorilla family to track and then head the Bwindi Impenetrable Forests where you will meet the amazing gorilla family that is so friendly to humans. You will enjoy taking their pictures, videos, capture every moment, as you enjoy the birds that will be performing for you in their sweet melodies. Return to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking certificate and proceed to the lodge, where you will relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and relaxation

Wake up in the morning, have a delicious breakfast, meet your driver guide and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest lake in Uganda and second deepest in Africa after Lake Tanganyika. The lake is famous for its numerous islands and each island having its story attached. You will engage in different activities such as boat cruise, zip lining, swimming as well, this day is entirely for relaxing your minds and getting closer to your memories.

Day 8: Check-out and departure

Arise in the morning at your time of convenience, enjoy your breakfast and head back to Kampala. You will have a stopover in Mbarara at Igongo cultural center where you will visit Igongo cultural center which exhibits Ankole culture. You will enjoy your lunch proceed to Kampala with a second stopover at the Equator at Kayabwe where you will engage in Equator experience, take pictures and then proceed to Entebbe and this mark the end of your trip.
