10 Days Uganda primates and Tanzania wildlife is a fantastic safari that is combining wildlife in Tanzania and Uganda primates. While on this safari, you should expect to encounter primates in Uganda and these are chimpanzees and mountain gorillas, and then enjoy game drive in Tanzania’s most visited national parks that is Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. In these 10 days, you will visit four national parks and the reward will be unforgettable memories. This safari will start from Uganda, take you through Rwanda and end in Tanzania.
Day 1: Pick-up and transfer to Kibale
Upon arrival, our team representative will be waiting to receive you, he will take you through the itinerary and then transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park which is famous for hosting the largest number of chimpanzees in the world and it’s also known as primate capital. You will drive through the rolling hills of western Uganda, lunch will be served in Fort-Portal the tourism city, you will later embark on the journey to Kibale, arrive in the evening hours, connect direct to your lodge for accommodation, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi
Wake up in the morning, enjoy your breakfast and be transferred Kanyanchu information center where you will be guided on how to track chimpanzees, you will be allocated chimpanzee family to track, you will be with a ranger guide who will help you to locate the chimpanzees, spend an hour with them as you enjoy the way they feed their young ones, how they play, you will be enjoying sweet melodies that will be coming from the birds that will be singing in the tree brunches, you will later go back to the lodge, have lunch and in the evening, you will head to Bigodi to see the species that this wetland has to offer you.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi
Arise in the morning, enjoy breakfast, check-out and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park which is a home to mountain gorillas. this is another day for you to travel to have a different experience, lunch will be served in Kasese and proceed with your journey, arriving in Bwindi will be in the late evening, connect to your lodge accommodation, check-in, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Kigali
This is another eventful day where you will wake up in the morning, have lunch and be transferred to the park headquarters to get a briefing about the gorilla tracking, you will be assigned a gorilla family to track, head to the thick forests of Bwindi, meet your family with a help of a ranger guide, spend an hour with them, take pictures and record every moment with gorillas, retire to the lodge for refreshments, and then transfer to Rwanda. Arriving in the evening, head to your booked hotel, have dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Kigali city tour and fly to Tanzania
You will wake up on a scrumptious breakfast, and go a city tour around Kigali before you transfer to Tanzania. You will visit different local markets, artisans and then visit Kigali genocide memorial center where you will be given the full story of how the genocide began, you will later head to hotel for lunch and then head to Kigali International Airport for a flight to Tanzania. Our team representative will be waiting for you at the Airport, he will receive you and transfer you the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti
Arise in the morning for s scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide, and transfer to Serengeti national park. This is the most visited national park in Tanzania. You will drive for about 5 hours, arrive in the afternoon, check-in the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 7&8: Full day game drive in Serengeti
This is another eventful day for you to explore the beauty of Serengeti. Serengeti is a local dialect that means endless plains. This park is famous for hosting wildebeest migration which always happens in June to September, wildebeests are always seen migrating from Serengeti to Masai Mara, you will enjoy seeing these wildebeests crossing river Grumeti to Masai Mara. You expect to see lions, buffaloes, zebras, cheetahs, leopards and these are the savanna predators. You will enjoy picnic lunch, enjoy game drives in the vast plains and end your 2 days.
Day 9: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater
Arise in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and transfer back and then be transferred to Ngorongoro conservation area. You will have an en-route to Olduvai Gorge, enjoy the history of the first man, enjoy picnic lunch, arrive in the evening, do an evening game drive and retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Game drive and departure
Arise in the morning, have a scrumptious breakfast, have breakfast, check-out and do a game drive as you head out of the park. You expect to see black and white rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, you will enjoy best scenic view of the Crater, exit the park and head back to Tanzania and this will mark the end of your safari.
